Gemma’s strengths outside of her day to day job as a programmer are around community building. She has organised many tech events over the years. Founding Manchester Girl Geek Dinners, Barcamp Blackpool and HackManchester. Running barcamps and girl geek events in Nottingham, coding dojo’s in Manchester and Preston. In 2015 Gemma became the Queen Bee of the Manchester Tech scene by organising tech events north west; a community of tech event organisers in the North West.
